Small Business Week is April 29th through May 5th. On May 1st, 2nd and 3rd, SCORE will host a Virtual Conference consisting of twelve webinars covering several business topics. The webinars are all presented at no cost to those who want to take part.

On Tuesday, May 1st learn how the latest technology allows you to understand consumer behavior better than ever and how these insights can help position your business for success. Also, discuss workplace discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment. Learn about specific policies and procedures for handling complaints, investigations, and retaliation, that can help protect your employees and your business. A third webinar looks at how your business thrives on bringing in sales from new and existing customers and some simple ways to repeatedly reach customers with email marketing. And finally, learn why you should be on social media and some easy-to-use tips and tricks for small business owners to improve or create strong social media campaigns. 

On Wednesday, May 2nd the discussion will look at the near-term outlook for the U.S. economy including how consumer spending preferences are changing, what stock market growth and volatility mean for consumer spending, and what all of this means for small businesses. The next discussion will look at the many reasons businesses are making the move to the cloud and discuss some best practices in how to use this technology to keep your business relevant and nimble. Next we look at how to use small business technology tools to streamline your work and give you back valuable time. The final webinar on Wednesday addresses financing. Choosing the right source of financing for your business’ growth is more complicated today than it used to be. Learn which financing options are right for different types of businesses and how likely you are to get approved.

Thursday, May 3rd, the final day of the conference begins with a look at new research into why and where customers complain and why the rise of customer complaints is actually an enormous opportunity for your business. The next webinar looks at the magic of the pop-up shop.  Find out how pop-up shops can help you bring your brand to life, create a one-of-a-kind customer experience and tell your brand’s unique story to a built-in audience. We next look at the ability of consumers to watch video content whenever and wherever they want. Learn how this creates an opportunity for businesses to reimagine the role of video content in their marketing strategy. The final webinar of the series looks at cybersecurity. It’s a complex digital world out there, and it’s more important than ever to make sure your small business is protected. Learn how being proactive with digitally protecting your business will give you the competitive edge against both your competitors and hackers.
